There is no beverage on Earth that has the historical or cultural significance as tea. This simple drink prepared from steeping the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the most consumed beverage in the world after water. It’s fair to say that if there were to be an official drink of planet Earth, most […]
Creating a new bottled iced tea, it should be easy right?! Well it’s been 18 months of research and development, but here I’ll take you through some of our key decisions we made along the way. Our guiding principles have steered us in developing Sweet Sally Tea. I always said I wanted an all-natural product […]
The sugar tax, well the sugary drinks tax. But not sugary juices or sugary milk drinks. Or small producers of sugary drinks. Let’s just call it the Coca Cola tax. So will it work, and who does it hurt? Just before I set out a few points to explain why I don’t believe the sugary […]
So if there’s one thing I know it’s that there are many, many different variations of iced tea! Most popular in the UK is Lipton which is a bit too sweet and artificial tasting for me. Back in the USA, if you were to visit 5 different families even in the same state you may […]
I’m certain that all of our southern followers will recognize this classic southern Chocolate Chess Pie recipe. I’ve made it a couple of times for dinner parties since moving to the UK and it’s always been a big hit. After all of these years, I finally learned how to make tomato gravy & biscuits! This recipe will serve about 2 people so if you have a large crowd coming you’ll want to increase the measurements for the ingredients. I had fun making reindeer chow for my customers at Christmas this year even though this is a snack you can enjoy year round! I’m pretty sure this is something mainly enjoyed in the south but it’s such an addicting snack I thought it would go over well at the local pubs! I couldn’t find […]

Whenever I want chili, vegetable soup or just a plate of vegetables I get ready to make a batch of southern cornbread.
