I love exchanging recipes with my grandmother. More times than not I’m on the receiving end and last week I got a nice note along with 4 new recipes to add to my collection! I mentioned I was getting excited to bake cookies for the holidays and she sent me her easy and tasty sugar cookie recipe! These were a big hit this year!
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 2/3 cup vegetable oil, 2 tsp vanilla, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 cups all purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, dash of salt
Preheat oven to 325F. Beat eggs, oil and vanilla with a hand mixer. Blend in sugar until mixture is thickened. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add to the sugar mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2” apart on greased baking sheets. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies.
Enjoy and let me know what you think!
